Journey of Prakritik Paint

It’s a revolution & wonder that how a paint can be produced by cow dung! Yes, it’s true that Khadi prakritik paint is developed after years of intense scientific research using natural ingredients. It’s first of its kind of paint that has been developed by Khadi & Village Industries commission which is extra ordinary effort in “ Atmanirbhar Bharat & Employment Generation’’.

Sh. Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister, Government of India) has launched an innovative new paint – India’s first cow dung paint – developed by Khadi and Village Industries
Commission on 12 th January, 2021 in the presence of Sh. Giriraj Singh (Union Minister, Government of India), Sh. Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Chairman KVIC Sh. Vinay Kumar Saxena. Speaking at the launch function, the Minister said the step is aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of increasing farmer’s income. The step, he said, is part of an effort to improve the rural economy to such an extent that reverse migration begins from the cities to rural areas. The Minister said with cow dung as the main ingredient
behind this paint, cows will become a source of income even if they are non-milking cows. No villagers will like to send cows to butchers…

“No cow will go to butchers, not by
law but due to economy," he said and added that this initiative will strengthen agriculture, rural and tribal economy, besides 115 aspirational districts where GDP
growth is negligible.

With the passage of time, this practice got extinct, and people started suffering with the consequences. Being contemporary is good but being contemporary along with your traditions is excellent
